A Cashmere Hug
Even while I was knitting the Damask shawl, by Kitman Figueroa, for my sister’s wedding, I was already plotting which of Kitman’s patterns to knit next. Seriously, that woman is some kind of stitch-whisperer; the way she combines stitch patterns is nothing short of magical.

I’m in a book!
The tiny handful of you who have been reading my blog since last June will recall that I posted a call for entries for a book compiled and edited by Annie Modesitt, called 1000 Fabulous Knit Hats (Ravelry link). Of course, I couldn’t hear a call like that go out without heeding it myself, so I submitted a few of my own hats — and then I thought no more about it.
Knit a Year
I’m still chugging away on the back of my Ribena cardigan. It’s slow going, mostly because (a) it’s a pile of laceweight stockinette, and (b) I haven’t had much time for knitting lately.
See? Not a very exciting subject for blogging just yet.
Instead, I want to talk about a project my friend Catt has embarked on: Knit a Year.
