Happy New Year’s Eve, all!
I’m just popping my head up from a holiday daze to post a quick note about this whole #VATmess business.
I’ve had such a positive response to my last two posts about colour theory that I started thinking about how to extend the fun. I asked one friend, a graphic designer, if she’d be interested in doing a guest post; she agreed to, and then suggested that I should have a series of guest posts on the topic of colour. I thought, sure, but who’s going to want to post on my little blog? But I put the question out on Twitter, and I have been absolutely floored by the resulting interest.
So, without further ado, I bring you: ColourRIOT, a series of guest posts all about colour. Some will be about colour theory, some about colour knitting technique, some about dyeing colourful yarns, some about colour inspiration, and some about plain old LOVE of colour.
And let me extend the invitation to you, my dear readers! Do YOU have something to say about colour? Knitting with it? Living with it? Wearing it? Making it? Get in touch with me through the blog or email me at anniebeeknits at gmail dot com.
I can’t wait to share the first posts in this series with you. Stay tuned!
I have a guest post up over at Rock+Purl today, all about colour theory (gasp! what a scary term!) and online tools we knitters can use to tame the terrifying beast. Thanks very much to Ruth, for hosting me! Stay tuned over here, as I have even more resources to share that didn’t fit into my guest post there.
Happy 2013, everyone! May the new year bring health, happiness, and good cheer to each and every person who reads this. Continue reading →

… because this rather enthusiastic creature (Hopps, the Newfie we were dogsitting this weekend) managed to cover it in slobber. I know, I know, Newfies are drooly animals — but I couldn’t bring myself to show off the globby knitting. Thank goodness for wool wash!

Please excuse the mess; I decided that while I love the green of the old blog theme on my mac (where it shows up as something slightly brighter than avocado, but still slightly muddied and subtle), I HATE it on PC screens (where it was nothing less than acid green). So, doing something about that. Which means, you know, revising the header, and so on…
